| The Liberty became only the third team in the history of the Pioneer Basketball League to not lose a game in the regular season or the tournament. The Liberty featured a great inside/out game all season long. Perhaps most indicative of the team play they were able to accomplish, they finished the regular season with four players among the ten best in the league in assists. The Liberty started out the tournament with a strong showing against the Sky. In the next two games they were forced to beat a very good Mercury team not once, but twice. They won the championship game on Sunday by a final score of 29 - 12 and placed two players on the All-Tournament team. |
