This will be the place for all the tournament news as we add to it this week and finally, during the tournament itself.
There are several changes in the tournament play versus the regular season. First of all, admission to all games is $2.00 per person school-age and up. Next, the equal playing time rule for all players is no longer in effect. A coach may play which ever players he or she wants for as long as they want. To make sure all players get some court time, we run a preliminary quarter in all games. Although it does not count towards the game score, all girls get a chance to take the floor.
The league rules are virtually the same with the main difference being the overtime rule. In tournament games we will continue 3-minute overtime periods until a winner is determined. We will not have the foulshot tie breaker.
We do not keep stats outside of scoring during the tournament. It is simply too difficult.
